I do not remember much from when the boys were little but I do remember how much fun they were. They have always been sweet boys. They have been a lot of work but it just keeps getting better.

Thoughts in my Head

Okay so as most of you know I spend 75% of my day alone with only a three year old to talk to. Which is fine but my day is lacking in adult conversation. So most days I have great conversations in my head. The only problem with this is that when it comes time to have a real conversation I am usually annoyed by the real answer because the pretend one in my head was so much better :)

For example, when talking to my husband about his costume, the conversation in my head went like this :

Me: "What do you want to be for Halloween?"

Husband: "A doctor of course (he has been that for the last three years)"

Me: "Do you want to get a new costume?"

Husband: "Why would I get a new one when this one is not paid for yet!"

Both: We laugh hysterically and agree :)

So when it came time for the real conversation I was waiting for a good laugh but it went like this:

Me:"What do you want to be for Halloween?"

Husband: "I don't know"

Me: "Okay"

Some times I wonder if I should just write a script and everyone can follow it, then life could always be funny!

Today is one of those rainy days. They make me want to run away to some where sunny and lovely. Hopefully the sun will start to come out soon. I am so sick of dark and dreary days!

Deep Thoughts

Happy Valentines Day to all! I woke up to a wonderful surprise today. One of my seven year old boys made me breakfast in bed. It was so cute. I received a bowl of chex with milk and a whole grape fruit not to mention a half glass of water. It was so fun to wake up to a fun meal. I am so grateful for my wonderful children!

When looking at this picture for the first time my son replied " Who's he mom?" Well that he is me! With nice moon boots and a bull cut. Yeah, I rocked that hair cut. Actually I created that hair cut, right before my sister was born I went behind the couch and took my look in a whole new direction. Needless to say my mother was not as proud as I was but for the next several months we all dealt with the consequences. And I wonder where my boys get it from?

Deep Thoughts

Where does the week go. I feel like by the time I get into a good grove the week is over and I have to prepare for a new one! It never ends. This week I am going to work on my time management so I can fit the most important things in. Reading my scriptures, the kids homework, dinner you know the basics :) We will see how it goes, wish me luck!

For the last Five weeks I have tryed to go join the local WW but due to weather or sickness I have not yet made it. I am going to go next week and I we will see what happens! Dumb Weather!!!!

This last week was a hard one. Between all of the sick days and all of the school snow days there was no time to relax. I am ready for a new fresh week and I know that it can only get better from here!

This Cake is a blast form the past. I tried to make an old fashion cake like my Grandma makes. One that is hand frosted and loosely piped. It was fun! The cake was chocolate with chocolate butter cream filling with chocolate chunks. It was covered in homemade butter cream. Yummy!

In life we always have to make choices. But some times the choices are between good and good. These can be the hardest choices we ever have to make. Why is that you may ask? It is because they both may be good choices and neither as far as you can tell will effect your life one way or another but the reality is a choice must be made! I find that if I turn these choices over to the Lord and am willing to accept any out come I always get an answer. So next time you have a choice to make whether it is simple or complicated ask the Lord for guidance and see what happens!

Chocolate Chip

Yes I know on Wednesdays I talk about my weight and Thursdays I show you all the new yummy desserts I am making. It makes no sense but I love dessert and I want to share them with all of you! These are my special homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies. I came up with the recipe in College and I have been perfecting them ever since. The boys want me to make them every day but I only make them about once a month. If any one knows how to take good pictures of food let me know. I am about to make some great looking cupcakes but I need to get some better shots of them. Let me know if you know how -Thanks-

New Year New You

This year I am ready to be healthy. I want to work out daily and eat right. I would love to lose weight but I am also ready to just feel good! I have joined a gym and have been there at least 4 days a week. Wish me Luck!
