My cousin Misti's two children have both been diagnosed with Alpha - 1. Alpha-1 is the 3rd most common serious genetic disorder in the world and can result in life-threatening liver or lung disease. Currently the only cure is liver transplant. Misti is going to be running the Salt Lake City Half Marathon for Alpha -1 and a cure. If anyone would like to make a donation to the cause it is simple and the money goes directly to research.
